English
A
William delivered several moving speeches over the course of the 11-day Royal Tour and has given us many endearing quotes.  His speeches have been emotional and heartfelt.  More emphasis needed with eye-contact.
B
Aside from saying “I do” on April 29th and “Hello, nice to meet you” during the Royal Tour we really haven’t heard much from Kate.  Having said that she appears to have a good mastery of the English language – pip pip!

French
B+
A valiant and commendable effort on part of the Prince to practice his newly learned French skills.  He still has room for improvement but shows great aptitude and promise!
N/A
Although rumoured to be taking lessons along with her husband, we have not heard Kate parlez dans le français at this point in time. Therefore, no grade can be assigned.

Aboriginal
A
You would be hard-pressed to find a Canadian that has tried to speak Dene or Inuvialuktun but Prince William did while speaking to a crowd in Yellowknife, NWT, much to their appreciation.  Will has earned and deserves an A for effort in this category.
N/A
Kate seemed tickled pink with Will’s attempt to speak Dene but did not make any attempt herself.  Don’t worry Kate, 99.999% of Canadian’s haven’t either!

Road
Hockey

F
Left-hander, right-shooter Will went 0 for 3 in the road hockey shoot out.  This really isn’t acceptable by Canadian Standards.  He’ll have to brush up on his technique.  One more poor showing like this and he may be awarded a spot on the Leaf roster!  Ouch!
F
Kate did not attempt to take part in the road hockey shoot out due to inappropriate attire – aka heels!  Given Kate’s past exploits in field hockey, we did expect at least an attempt!  Many left disappointed, we’ve heard she has a heck of a slap shot!

Dragon
Boating
A+
Canadians were impressed with his form and sportsmanship.  Kate was the favourite in this event but Will’s boat destroyed team Duchess by at least 4 boat-lengths.
C
Although Kate showed great form in the steering role, her attempt at paddling was rather abysmal.  Slapping the paddle won’t get you anywhere sweet heart.  “That’s what he said!”

Canoeing
A+
Will seemed to be a natural in the canoe.  Now if he can only master canoeing while singing all the lyrics to Land of the Silver Birch he can consider his Canadian initiation complete!  Boom de de boom boom!
A+
Kate seemed much more comfortable with a canoe paddle than a dragon boat oar.  Although we didn’t see an actual “J” stroke from Kate, she did seem to propel the canoe somewhat.  P.S. someone needs to show her how to hold a shovel before the next ‘planting ceremony’

Casual
B
The maroon tire with blue shirt and blue suit got a bit too much air time during the tour.  Overall, Kate has done a great job redressing the Prince!
A+
Kate sets a new style trend with every piece she wears.  Not only can she wear anything, she wears it well!

Formal

A
By the age of 10 William had been to more formal events than any of us will attend in our lifetime, the boy knows how to cut a suit.
A++++
Stunning!

Cowboy
A++++
I’ll take a Duke in Demin to go please! Yeehaw!  Will rocked the 10 gallon hat!
A+
Kate would have to work very hard to look bad in anything!

Commoners
A+
William is as natural with ‘the people’ as he is with nobility and it would certainly seem like he enjoys the company of both.  William went out of his way to make contact with Canadians during the Royal Tour.
A+
They say it takes one to know one and in this case, that seems to be true!  Kate is natural with the every-day common folk because, quite simply, she is one – this is a strength, not a weakness!
Kate is the Commoners Princess!

Dignitaries & Diplomats
A+
Always professional, courteous and engaging.  William’s had lot’s of practice here – his dad being the second most important Dignitary in the Commonwealth.
A+
Kate is a quick study!  This little butterfly has flown from Bucklebury to Buckingham in one full-swoop and has looked rather graceful in flight!

Each
Other
A+
I believe that William brings out the best in Kate.  A constant and refreshing reminder that we can do more in this world and it matters more what we do than how we look doing it!
A+
I believe that Kate brings out the best in William.  A constant and refreshing reminder not to take himself too seriously.  Any spawn of Prince Charles will require this delicate balance!

General
First Term Performance
A consummate professional, whether inspecting the troops, landing a helicopter or speaking at a formal engagement.  William demonstrates all the attributes of a strong leader!  I look forward to watching William take the Monarchy into the future while keeping a foot in the door of the past!  This balancing act will not be easy but it will be necessary – he has the entire world… and his grandmother to keep happy!
Long Live the Queen!
An apt pupil with a keen desire to learn and please, Kate is prepped to do well in her new role of Duchess.  Kate has not put a wrong foot forward and was a gracious guest during the Royal Tour.  Kate’s biggest struggle ahead may be in striking a balance between being a member of the royal family and a celebrity.  I look forward to seeing Kate’s further progress in the 2nd term!
